Re: Big Brown loses

Actually i take my last post back. This coverage is pissing me off, they are focusing more on an overrated horse who lost than the underdog winner.

    Re: Big Brown loses

I started watching horse racing when I was little, because my grandmother loved it. That's the most dominant horse I've seen in 20+ years. I had some doubt that he'd win with the injury, but he was so much better than the rest, including the winner who he'd already smoked, I thought he could still win. Within a quarter of the race I knew he wouldn't win. He just didn't look the same. It must be like a runner running with a huge gash on the bottom of his foot.

You had to know that JR would be on here 3 second after finish to chime in his usual retardation. At least some things are constant.

Same here. The other two races he was running in about that same third spot for a while, but you could tell he was just laying back. You knew that about 3/4 through he'd turn him lose and he'd blast to the front. I don't know if the animal could feel the pain in his foot and that's why he wasn't the same, or if he just remembered it hurting and held back because of that. No way about it though, he wasn't the same. If he was like he was in either the Preakness or the Derby, he smokes the field by at least 4-5 links again.

Same here on the quarter part of the race. When he ran up on the back of the other horse, I think it broke all his momentum and took too much out of him to get in a position to win.

Big Brown's a great horse, I would rate him second as the best horses in the last 10 years.

I never said anything about the horse or really anything for that matter...just was talking about another chance of a triple crown is gone again...so I didnt chime in anything buddy

You should have chimed in with this brilliant nugget after the umpteenth JIB flop.

38-1. some made some huge money on that winner. I would have loved to see Big Brown to win it but the chances were slim in reality, injury and history
